It didn't work. I bought a knock off one. This one works perfect and reasonable price.
Accually, I ordered it, but they sent the other one.However, I have just used it, because it is difficult to resend and it takes many days.
Two things I have learned. (You'll pay 3x what Amazon charges if you buy this from Garmin). After our son destroyed the original Garmin automobile power adapter I bought an off brand that lasted until I turned it in the socket and that was that. NEVER rotate the plug in the lighter socket and always buy from Amazon.
Reason being, is wheni 1st received the cable, i imediately wrote to Amazon as well as the dealer, and I never received a respone back. If i can not get a simple cable as avertised correct, how would i have any confidence that i will receive a more costly item correct and be stuck for a larger bill and remain unsatisfied. How can I rate this item when i didnt recieve this item.Why bother. it is highly unlikely that i will purchase another item from Amazon.
Mounted this plug on the motorcycle where the red led light is visible, plugged it into the usb connection of the GPS and it has worked perfectly. Very pleased.
